I have been commissioned by In Certain Places to develop a piece of temporary public artwork to be presented during Preston Guild celebrations in September 2012. I’ve been researching the Transit of Venus and am collaborating with Arkwright’s brewery on a Transit ale as well as organising the first Transit of Venus Real Ale Competition.
We are hosting a tasting event on the 27th April 2012, 6-8pm in The Real Ale Shop.
The Transit of Venus Tasting Evening

Come and try this 7.1% IPA based on a recipe from the 1700’s and sample the full range of Arkwright’s beers in the intimate surroundings of The Real Ale Shop. Throughout the evening you’ll be able to find out more about the project, get some tips from the brewers and take home a bottle or two of ale to sip during astronomical events.
